To provide nursing care services for eligible individuals whose
care needs are greater than the family, and residential facilities outside of
nursing homes can provide. |

The Nursing Home Services Branch of the Department of Family and
Community Services is responsible for the nursing home program. It sets and
monitors policies and standards,inspects
nursing homes for licensure and provides subsidies for elibible
individuals who cannot cover the full cost of nursing care. In addition,
Nursing Home Services provides consultation services to the nursing homes. |
