There is a growing need in Canada for us to be aware of what happens as our loved ones age and require assisted living, etc. Patty Randall is spreading this message across Canada and I challenge everyone who reads her articles to take action and develop a plan of action that is proactive vs. reactive.
It seems easier to hide from the fact that we are all aging and will need help at some point. Everyone I speak to that is older doesn't want to become a burden to their family. By planning properly Canadians can have plans in place that allow them to still have independence and have a little less stress in a time of need. You need to have your loved ones at your side to support you and not be running around having to deal with all the financial / personal issues you may be encountering.
Thank you to our media sources for starting to support people like Patty and getting this important message out to all Canadians!

'Awe-Inspiring'
The news article, on seniors, in the Neighbours written by Patty Randall was sensitive, loving, awe-inspiring and informative. I would love to see more written by this lady on the different care facilities in Calgary and what care is available for seniors who wish to remain in their homes. I look forward to reading more articles by Mrs. Randall and hope to see them nearer the front of Neighbours.
